Diane grew up in Easthampton and graduated from UMass Amherst. A resident of Westhampton for thirty-seven years, she and her husband, Wally, raised three children there. She currently serves as president of the Friends of the Westhampton Memorial Library, a group that advocates for the library through fundraising and public relations.
